After about 2-3 days of 12-hour internet connectivity, a different piece of a satellite dish failed. One of our quick-thinking IT guys figured out a way to utilize an identical, but unused part from elsewhere on the dish assembly. At this moment, things are looking good!
At work, I have been doing nothing but receiving parts since returning from McMurdo. A few thousand pounds of parts and pieces arrived in my absence. Murphy's Law dicates that no matter how many parts we get in, something will break this winter that we won't have the right part for.
I finished "The First Account" of Sherwin Sleeves "Atoms, Motion and the Void". This is storytelling at the highest level. I downloaded the whole series before I left The States. I cannot recommend this series highly enough. I will write more about this later.
